Viaje al Ombligo de la Luna

(Journey to the Moon's Navel)

This project was inspired by the Monarca butterfly species which, in order to survive the winter, these insects have to travel through three countries and connects them year after year.

Making their departure from the canadian forests, the butterflies travel between two and three months so they can spend winter in the mexican forests to reproduce during spring and continue their life cycle.

This short was created keeping in mind we want people to know more about these creatures, their migration and why is it so important to preserve and take care our natural forests, becasue without these little beings and bees there is no pollination which is very important for every ecosystem and unfortunately, the consistent use of pesticides is shrinking their population greatly.
